I see this as one of the most important features for an instant messenger and would love to see this in QuteCom.

In fact, missing otr support is the only feature which keeps me with adium.
Otherwise, I would switch to qutecom today!
If this feature is wanted, well, maybe I find the time to investigate what effort porting otr to qutecom would be.
